Chartway Civil Engineering, renowned for its commitment to excellence in civil works and residential development packages, proudly announces its continued partnership with Kitewood Estates, a distinguished developer with a notable portfolio along the North Kent coast.
Having developed a collaborative relationship over several years, Chartway Civil Engineering has emerged as the preferred contractor for Kitewood Estates, reflecting its capability to deliver top-tier civil works and residential solutions. From offering invaluable insights during feasibility assessments to optimising cost plans, Chartway Civil Engineering has consistently demonstrated its dedication to ensuring lean designs and optimal cost-efficiency throughout the development process.
The latest milestone in this partnership is the appointment of Chartway Civil Engineering for the second phase of Grasmere Gardens in Whitstable. This meticulously planned community, comprising 300 homes in proximity to the village of Chestfield, represents a significant continuation of the development. While much of the infrastructure and highway groundwork has been accomplished in the previous phase, this contract award reflects the pivotal role Chartway Civil Engineering plays in driving forward such ambitious projects.
Further highlighting the depth of collaboration, Chartway Civil Engineering actively engaged in another Kitewood development, Blacksole Farm, situated just five miles west along the Thanet Way towards Herne Bay. This development encompasses 67 homes in two medium-rise blocks of flats and 18 high-quality houses. From initial site investigations to archaeological support works, Chartway Civil Engineering has been instrumental in navigating the complexities of this project, including managing logistical challenges such as a live adopted footway and adjacent bustling amenities.
Derek Gilburt, Head of Pre-Construction at Chartway Civil Engineering: “The addition of these two prestigious projects to our pipeline, at a value of approximately £2 million, demonstrates our commitment to delivering excellence in every project. We are delighted to continue our partnership with Kitewood Estates and look forward to further building on our established relationship to support the delivery on future projects.”
