Chartway Civil Engineering is delighted to announce we have been appointed by Oliver Davis Homes to deliver a civil works package within the redevelopment of the Somerfield Hospital buildings on London Road, Maidstone. This exciting project marks the revitalisation of a historic site into a remarkable new residential community.
The focal point of the scheme is the conversion of the enchanting Grade II former hospital, resulting in the creation of 73 dwellings. The exceptional transformation includes new homes from Golding Homes, who have secured the whole scheme.
In addition to the conversion, the project includes the construction of a new modular housing block, to be delivered by Oliver Davis Homes with the modular homes provided by TopHat. The civil works package to be delivered by the team at Chartway Civil Engineering for the Oliver Davis Homes project, encompasses various aspects such as basement excavation, retaining structures, substructure works, drainage, and the execution of a comprehensive remediation strategy.
Chartway Civil Engineering has worked closely with the Oliver Davis Homes team to finalise the intricate civils details, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance. Their expertise and commitment have been instrumental in discharging the remediation scheme, further enhancing the environmental sustainability of the development.
